Platform3 under new management

Platform3 is proud to announce its new director: as from the 1st of October 2009, Marlene Rigler takes over the project in the South of Munich. Trained as an art theorist and culture manager in Graz (AUT), Grenoble (FRA) and Paris (FRA), she has been active on the scene for many years, including work in museums (Paris, New York), art centres (Brussels), foundations (Paris/Antwerp) and for the Venice Biennale.

Her extensive experience in varied international institutions and her engagement with the production and reception of contemporary art make Marlene Rigler a fitting leader for this model project that is funded by the Department for Industry and Labour of the State Capital, Munich, and supported by Wohnforum München GmbH.

Through 2010-2011 Ms. Rigler will be supported by four apprentices, a grantee of the Robert-Bosch Foundation, and project assistant Achim Sauter.

Founding director Elisabeth Hartung moved on to head the Visual Arts Team of the Department for Culture of the City of Munich on the 1st of July, 2009.
